Hi everyone! I’m Lieke, the person behind Arveta.

I’ve always been interested in the connection between design and nature - biodesign. I believe nature adds another layer to a design, to bring people closer to their roots, to show what other ideas could be possible when adding nature. I wanted to explore how nature can become part of the design process, and share those ideas with others in a way that feels practical, inspiring, and accessible.

Arveta grew out of my graduation project for Communication and Multimedia Design. I wanted to create a space where designers can think, test and question, as a shared community. To keep things approachable, I started focusing on paper; a familiar material, yet full of potential. Just choosing the right paper can already transform the meaning and feeling of a design. I believe materials tell stories and those stories matter.
